Welcome to the Perry County Juvenile Court

As the Juvenile Judge, Judge Cooperrider hears cases involving youth under the age of 18 years old. Such cases include unruly, delinquent, abused, dependent and neglected children, as well as cases that involve traffic offenses. Jurisdiction also includes adult paternity cases, nonsupport, visitation and custody of children whose parents are unmarried as well as child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The OHIO REVISED CODE authorizes the Judge to appoint Deputy Clerks to assist in performing the daily business of the Court. They have a wide range of duties and are prohibited by law from giving legal advice or assistance in preparing forms that come before the Court.
